COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT IMMIGRATION LAW
In most other countries like Vietnam, there are no registration requirements for migration agents.
Whereas a Migration Agent in Australia must:
- be registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA);
- have demonstrated knowledge of Australian Immigration Law and its regulations;
- be of good character;
- attend continuing professional development programs; and
- abide by the MARA strict Code of Conduct
Technically yes, but this is not recommended. If you submit your own visa application the whole process may cost you thousands of dollars and if unsuccessful, all these fees will not be refunded to you. A Migration Agent will ensure that your application is submitted under the right category for Australian migration (as there are more than 100 types of Australian visas) and offer you the best opportunity of a successful outcome.
